चिकन लपेटा - Chicken Lapeta is a main course chicken recipe which includes egg omelette. This chicken recipe is different from other chicken main course recipes. It can be served for lunch as well as dinner.

Ingredients:
(Serves 2)
For Marinating Chicken:
- 1/2 kg Chicken
- 2 tbsp Curd
- 1 tsp Ginger-Garlic Paste
- 1 tsp Red Chilli Powder
- 1 tsp Coriander Seeds Powder
- 1 tsp Cumin Seeds Powder
- 1 tp Chaat Masala
- 1 tsp Kasuri Methi (crushed)
- Salt
For Preparing Chicken:
- 1/4 cup oil
- 2 Cinnamon Stick
- 4-5 Green Cardamoms
- 4-5 Cloves
- 2 Onions (chopped)
- 1 tsp Ginger-Garlic Paste
- 2 Tomatoes (puree)
- 1 tsp red Chilli Powder
- 1 tsp Coriander Powder
- 1 tsp Cumin Seeds Powder
- 1/2 tsp Turmeric Powder
- 1 tsp Kasuri Methi (crushed)
For Green Chutney:
- 2 tbsp Coconut
- 2 Green Chillies
- 10-12 Cashew Nuts
- Curd
- Green Chutney
- Salt
- 1 cup Water
- 2 tbsp Oil
- 2 tbsp Cream
For Preparing Egg Omelet:
- 1 Egg
- Salt
- Oil
Method:
1. Take chicken in a bowl, add curd, ginger-garlic paste, red chilli powder, coriander seeds powder, cumin seeds powder, chaat masala, crushed dry Kasuri methi, salt and mix all these ingredients properly.
2. Now keep this chicken aside to marinate for 2 hours.
3. Heat oil in a wok, add cinnamon stick, green cardamoms, cloves, finely chopped onions and ginger-garlic paste. Turn the flame low and cover it with lid, let this cook for some time.
4. Once the onion is ready, add tomatoes puree and saute it well. Now add red chill powder, coriander powder, cumin seeds powder, turmeric powder and crushed dry Kasuri methi, saute this well.
5. Add green chutney prepared earlier, and saute it well. Add salt and water according to your preference.
6. Heat a pan, add oil, chicken pieces and fry them on it. Let it heat on high flame for 5 minutes and repeat it with the other side.
7. Once they start looking fried and crispy, cover the pan with a lid and let it cook for 5 minutes more.
8. Turn off the flame and put the chicken pieces in the gravy. Now take cream and add it to the gravy. Mix this all well.
9. Cover the wok with a lid and let this cook on low flame for 2-3 minutes.
For Preparing Egg Omelette:
10. Take 1 egg and add salt, whisk it.
11. Heat a pan, add oil and pour the whisked egg on the pan. Don't let it cook entirely.
12. Remove it in a plate and cut it in stripes. Add these stripes on the chicken masala.
Your Chicken Lapeta is ready to be served!
